Just before he died he made me promise that I would not shed one tear about him not attending my wedding. He said "if you don't think I'll be watching every second of your wedding, you don't know me! I've never missed a good party and I am not about to miss your wedding. SO if you cry because I am not there, you are forgetting who I am!" He also made me promise that I would make a fool out of myself by starting the chicken dance - which he knew I hated. But... I did the chicken dance and smiled the whole way through it!
